Proprietors of an Aspen Court business told Flathead County Sheriff's deputies that a former employee wrote checks on a company account, agreed to pay the money back, but never did. This all happened a year ago.

Employees of a store on Montana 35 thought that the woman who came in early Friday morning and asked if she could sit a while might be impaired.

Deputies spoke with a Lower Valley Road resident who had complaints about people trespassing.

Possible e-mail and phone scams were reported from a Cooperative Way business.

The windows were busted out of a motor home on Jellison Road, but nothing appeared to be missing.

A wallet and a cell phone were reported stolen by a man in the Murray Lake area.

Deputies were called to break up disturbances on Farm To Market Road and Vista Lane in Bigfork.

Deputies received 171 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded to a sporting goods store on U.S. 93 North about 8 p.m. Thursday after a man threatened to blow off his foot with a .308-caliber rifle. He reportedly had taken the weapon from the gun counter and went into a restricted area of the store. The man, who never threatened anyone else with harm, was arrested without incident after the store was temporarily evacuated.

Employees of a Park Hill Road school called to report some people sleeping in a car. Officers ended up arresting four people on a combination of warrants and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.

A Third Avenue West resident returned home to find a video game system and a jar of change missing. The door had been busted in.

Officers were called to Sixth Avenue East after a resident reported his neighbor for burning something toxic. Turns out it was cardboard. Apparently, there's an ongoing dispute between the two.

Three intoxicated people outside a Third Avenue West residence were told to quiet down and go inside after a neighbor complained about the noise.

Officers received 94 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 21-year-old man for driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, and drug possession during a traffic stop on U.S. 93. He reportedly was driving without his headlights on.

Officers received 41 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police are investigating a possible case of statutory rape on Seventh Street West. An 18-year-old man was arrested in connection with the alleged incident.

A man having relationship problems with his girlfriend refused to leave her Fourth Avenue West home, until police were called.

Officers received 29 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Alarms

The Creston Fire Department responded to LaBrant Road after a passer-by noticed gas leaking from a boat.

Three Rivers EMS and the Canyon Quick Response Unit were paged to Hungry Horse Boulevard to treat a person suffering from an insect sting.

Bigfork Ambulance responded to the Echo Lake fishing access after a recreationist was injured while boating.

The Whitefish Fire Department was called to extinguish a grass fire on Brunner Road.

The Whitefish Fire Department also was dispatched to a crash about two miles up Big Mountain Road.

The Kalispell Fire Department and Evergreen Fire Department responded to a hotel on U.S. 2 after an 18-year-old woman stopped breathing. She was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Three Rivers EMS responded up the North Fork Road to treat a person with a broken ankle.

The Kalispell Fire Department, Evergreen Fire Department, and Big Mountain Ambulance were paged out to a car crash Friday on Montana 40. Two injured occupants were taken to the hospital.

Paramedics with the Kalispell Fire Department were dispatched to East Idaho Street after a vehicle collided with a kid on a bike. He was already gone, though, when authorities arrived.

The Kalispell Fire Department and South Kalispell Fire Department responded to a crash on U.S. 93 South. Some kids might have suffered whiplash. The parents suffered minor injuries.

The Whitefish Fire Department was paged out to Central Avenue after a car caught fire.

People suffered injuries in a crash on Montana 83 near Echo Lake Road. Bigfork Ambulance responded.
