Today’s photo goes back to the day of wooden sidewalks. It is an interesting view of a part of downtown Bonners Ferry. Be sure to notice the people in the picture and the various things in the street.
I would like you to tell me what business was housed in the large building seen in the photo. I hear the business is still in operation.
I did slip and erase part of the name that was on the building.

Last week’s photo showed additions being built to the back of buildings on Main Street. You can see the alley behind the post office, which was built in 1937, but I can’t tell you which buildings were being worked on.
Museum curator Sue Kemmis said that two of them might be Under the Sun or The Gift Gallery. Ann Regehr thought it could be the building of the Shamrock.

Sittin' Here Thinkin'
Today, I want to share with you my trip to the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. Inland Northwest Honor Flight had chosen 35 veterans to make the flight back to Washington along with an excellent group of volunteers called “guardians.” We flew from Spokane to Salt Lake, and then on to Baltimore, Maryland. Upon arrival, we were shuttled to the Hilton Hotel where we ended the day with an outstanding dinner.
