PONDERAY — The installation of a culvert across Highway 200 is forecasted to cause minor traffic delays on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the Idaho Transportation Department and U.S. Highway 95 bypass contractor Parsons RCI.
The culvert work will be located east of the U.S. 95 turnoff and will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Delays are anticipated to be in the three- to five-minute range.
Parsons and ITD are also advising motorists to plan for unspecified delays at the north end of the Long Bridge on Thursday and Friday because of storm drain installation. Storm drain work on the bridge will reduce traffic to one lane between the hours of 5 a.m. and 5 p.m.
“It’s a one-lane closure similar to the other utility crossings we’ve had,” said Shane Webley of Parsons RCI, said on Thursday.
Both lanes will briefly close when equipment is shifted from one side of the highway to the other side, according to officials with the Idaho Transportation Department and U.S. Highway 95 bypass contractor Parsons RCI.
“The plan is to not have work going on at the north and south end at the same time,” Webley said.
