Road work continues

COLUMBIA BASIN — Several roadway construction projects continue this week in Grant and Adams counties.
Construction crews are repaving a portion of state Route 282 in Ephrata and adding four miles of passing lane on state Route 17 outside Moses Lake, the Washington State Department of Transportation reported. The projects are being done at the same time.
Drivers will see crews working in various zones along the highway spanning from Moses Lake to Ephrata through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Delays up to 20 minutes are expected as flaggers direct single lane traffic, WSDOT reported. Guardrails and illumination are being added along the highway.
Construction crews are working nightly though Friday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on a paving project in Quincy.
About 10 miles of state Route 28 and state Route 281 spanning from Quincy to Winchester will be repaved, WSDOT advised. Single lane traffic is expected with single lane traffic directed by flaggers.
Today from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., drivers can expect 20 minutes delays on state Route 26 outside Othello. Flaggers are alternating traffic flow through single lane traffic as crews place rock and gravel on the roadway to construct new turn lanes at the Reynolds Road intersection.
