The Northwest A Conference boys basketball All-Conference teams were announced this week, and two Vikings made the lists.

Senior Brock Boll was named first team All-Conference and senior Scott Taylor was named second team All-Conference.

"I think it is a tribute to Brock's consistency and strong playing ability that he made the first team," said Bigfork High School head boys basketball coach Lyle Whiteman. "He had some great games for us."

Boll was second in the conference for individual 2-point field goals, with an average of 5.56. Since all 100 of his field goals during the regular season were 2-pointers, his average also gave him the third best average for combined field goals. Boll scored 236 points in 18 games, an average of 13.11, which was also the third best in the conference. He had the second best average for rebounding after grabbing 137 boards for an average of 7.61.

Taylor had the honor of having the most rebounds this season in the conference. In 18 games he made 99 offensive rebounds and 111 defensive rebounds for an average of 11.67 per game. He also broke the school record for most rebounds in a game when the Vikings hosted Ronan and he grabbed 27 boards to outdo the previous record of 21 held by Matt Emslie during the 1996-1997 season.

"Scott continued to improve all year with his defense and his rebounding," Whiteman said. "I feel real good about him being recognized for his hard work and dedication."
