Flathead County sheriff's deputies responded to Main Street in Hungry Horse after it was reported that a man rammed a woman's car. The woman, however, said he accidentally backed into it. A disturbance ensued, and the woman, whom deputies shocked with a Taser, was arrested on suspicion of obstructing justice. She says she stopped breathing while in the Evergreen area and was taken to the hospital.

Hitchhikers on Montana 35 in Evergreen were suspicious enough that a passer-by called deputies.

An unpaid water bill was at the root of an altercation between a Cougar Trail resident and her landlord.

Deputies advised someone at rental cabins in Coram how to deal with a disruptive man, who left when law enforcement was called.

A 17-year-old boy allegedly was assaulted on Rocky Cliff Road.

Cigarettes were reported stolen from a Kalispell-area convenience store.

A man speeding in the Evergreen area hit a bump hard enough to break his fuel line, prompting area fire departments to clean up the gas spill.

Kalispell police

A doctor called Kalispell police to report intimidation from a patient, who allegedly threatened a lawsuit and said that if she didn't get relief from her pain she would put a bullet in her head - and use the doctor's office to do it.

The driver whose vehicle cut off a woman's vehicle on Fourth Avenue East North and Idaho Street then made an obscene gesture.

Two toddlers were found on a Second Avenue East sidewalk. The parents were located, but the person who reported the incident was upset that they didn't seem too concerned.

While investigating reports of a disturbance on First Avenue West, officers ticketed a 20-year-old man on suspicion of having a dog at large.

Officers arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of DUI and for running a red light during a traffic stop on Second Street East.

A Windriver Drive husband called to complain about his estranged wife, who allegedly is "harassing and baiting" him. He also told officers he was intimidated by two of his wife's acquaintances.

An Appleway Drive husband, bleeding from his nose and mouth, told officers he had been beaten up by his wife but didn't want to press charges.

Mailboxes on Hawthorne Avenue were smashed, reportedly by someone wielding a baseball bat.

An intoxicated man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing after changing his clothes in the wash bay of a Fourth Avenue East North business.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of DUI during a traffic stop on Baker Avenue.

Officers received 41 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Possible drug paraphernalia was found in front of a Fifth Avenue West home. Columbia Falls police investigated.

Officers received 29 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Alarms

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to Trumble Creek Road after a shed full of hay caught fire. Firefighters cleared the scene in about an hour.

The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to what was reported as an uncontrolled burn on U.S. 2. It wasn't.

The Bigfork Fire Department and Bigfork Ambulance responded to Montana 209 after a car went off the road.

The South Kalispell Fire Department and Somers Fire Department extinguished a sizable grass fire late Thursday in the Leisure Island area.

The Whitefish Fire Department took a man with a head injury to the hospital after he was hit by a car.
