Summer reading programs for youth and adults will be offered through the Lincoln County Public Libraries.

Promoting reading with the theme, “Be Creative @ Your Library,” preschoolers through young adults can explore the world of music, dance, art, books and more through the summer program. Participants are encouraged to sign up starting June 2 to take part in various programs, storytimes, the opportunity to win prizes, and more.

Along with the read-at-home portion, programs will be held at the Libby Library on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. starting June 9. Troy Library programs will be held on Wednesdays at 2 p.m. starting June 10.

Adults are invited to participate in their own summer reading program. Participants will be asked to read six books of their choosing over the course of the program. When adults register, they will receive a reading log to record their books.

For every two books read, adults will receive a ticket for a community prize drawing. After adults have read six books and have turned in their reading log, they will receive a ticket to a drawing for an additional prize and a coupon for a free book courtesy of the Friends of the Library Book Sale.
