OTHELLO — The Othello boys golf team cruised to Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) district championships this season, but it was Ephrata’s Andrew Whalen who brought home the top individual honor.

Whalen shot a 78 at Black Rock Creek in Sunnyside, Wash., and was named the conference’s Most Valuable Player this season during the all-conference selections.

Although the Huskies didn’t bring home the MVP award, the Huskies had two first-team selections in Dylan Jahns and Sam Para.

While the Othello boys team ran away with the CWAC district title, so did the Othello girls.

District champion and Othello senior Ashley Amoruso led the Huskies to the district team crown and she was named the CWAC’s Most Valuable Player.

Othello junior Devyn Olson was also a first-team selection for the Huskies girls team.
