Former Bonners Ferry High School soccer player Brianna Watt ripped off 7 shots for Skagit Valley College in Washington during the first half of last weekend’s game against top-ranked Whatcom Community College.

Watt placed one ball right in front of the net for an assist, helping the Lady Cardinals lead Whatcom 1-0. The game ended in a 1-1 tie, an improvement over the 4-1 loss in their first meeting.

The team has struggled after losing 11 players, including five or six starters. Watt has had to play a variety of different positions that she does not normally play.

Brianna plans to play next year and then transfer to a four-year university in hopes of becoming a pharmacist.
