‘I Gotta Feeling’
After climbing into her vehicle on Friday afternoon following Libby’s tournament-opening victory over Whitefish, Lady Loggers volleyball coach Cindy Ostrem-Johnston could only smile when “I Gotta Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas came on the radio.
“I’ve got it on the ’80s station all the time and that song came on … it was just perfect,” Ostrem-Johnston said.
The song’s lyrics includes the line, “I gotta feeling tonight’s gonna be a good night.”
“I just got this big grin on my face and thought, yeah, it’s going to be a good night,” Ostrem-Johnston said.
The next day when she and her son, Ryggs, headed to a brunch that volleyball moms put on, it happened again. The same song aired on the radio.
Later on Saturday when pulling up to the school that afternoon prior to the championship match, “I Gotta Feeling” came on again.
Three times – the same song.
“It was just really cool to see everything come together,” the coach said about her team’s play in the tournament. “I want to acknowledge all of the kids … it was a total contribution from all of them.”
