MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the 2010 Moses Lake Business Expo.
The expo is Jan. 19 at the Big Bend Community College in the ATEC building.
Chamber Executive Director Debbie Doran-Martinez said businesses wishing to have a booth at the event must be chamber members.
The expo is open and free to the general public, Doran-Martinez said.
“This is the first time we’re opening it to the public to attend,” she said.
The expo was previously called a “Mini Trade Show.”
Free workshops are held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Topics include Quickbooks, the launch of Windows 7, and loss prevention.
The loss prevention workshop is offered “so owners and managers can be more equipped to spot unusual transactions,” Doran-Martinez said.
The business expo is from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
“We welcome the public to come out and see the different businesses that are vending,” she said.
The focus is on keeping dollars local, she said.
The chamber anticipates about 30 vendors participating.
