ST. IGNATIUS — Last Friday, if you wore maroon and white, you were a Griz fan.
If you donned blue and gold, you were rooting for the Bobcats.
In honor of the Montana State University/University of Montana game on Saturday, lines were drawn and teams were picked for the rivalry game.
St. Ignatius high school had “Dress to your Alliance Day.” Leading up to the big day, announcements were made and a buzz was going around, St. Ignatius principal Jason Sargent said.
On Friday, the ‘Cat Prowl’ and the “Griz Charge’ were called down to the gym for pictures and more trash talking.
The first-year activity saw a little more than half of the student population participate.
As a Bobcat fan, Sargent knew he was outnumbered, as his side had 13 supporters.
“I’m on the Cat side,” he said. “We were definitely outnumbered.”
Sargent said he hopes the dress-up day will gain more followers each year.
