Marcella Cel Mae White, 79

Marcella Cel Mae White, 79, passed away Thanksgiving night, Nov. 27, 2009, after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer. Cel was born in Ingomar on June 16, 1930. She moved to Helena, where she met her husband Lacey. They resided in Warm Springs and Deer Lodge, where they made lifelong friends. They moved to Kalispell in 1968 where she worked at Frank s Bi-Rite. With three children in high school, Cel was in charge of the teen center and was a positive mentor to many. She spent several years as a real estate agent. Cel was known as a gracious host and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed all forms of gardening. Her real passion was winning at cards in bridge and pinochle. She was a great animal lover. Cel is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lacey; her sister, Marcia, and her husband, Bob Hesse, of Tulare, Calif.; her brother-in-law, Miles White, and his wife, Regina, of Billings; three children, Marcie and Duane Anderson of Auburn, Wash., Mike White of Kalispell, and Maggie and Jim Mende of Perris, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, at Risen Christ Catholic Church in Evergreen, with Father Rudolph Bullman as celebrant.
