MOSES LAKE — The Wilson Creek Devils stayed on pace with co-North Central Washington 1B Conference leader Thorp Tuesday night with a three-game sweep over the Columbia Basin Secondary School Phoenix.

Wilson Creek controlled the tempo of the contest from the opening serve to improve to 6-1 in conference play and 7-1 overall.

The Devils knocked off the Phoenix 25-13 in game one before cruising to a 25-6 victory in game two to take a controlling lead over the hosting Columbia Basin Secondary School.

Wilson Creek wrapped up the conference matchup with a 25-15 victory in game three to complete the sweep.

Wilson Creek senior Ksenje Fredere led the way for the Devils with 11 kills at the net. Fredere was also perfect from the service line, finishing 21-for-21 serving with 11 aces to lead Wilson Creek.

Brynna Stevens also had an impressive night for the Devils recording seven kills of her own while setter Jackie Treat provided the Wilson Creek offense with 28 assists. Treat was also 17-for-18 serving with five aces of her own.

TACOMA, Wash. —— Ephrata senior Wes Chamberlain wrapped up his high school career at the 2A state track meet in Tacoma, Wash., over the weekend by capturing his third state championship in the pole vault — breaking his own state record in the process.
