That was easy.

In the matter of an hour Tuesday at the Flathead High School gym, the Bravettes rolled to an easy 3-0 victory in volleyball over Missoula Big Sky.

Big Sky scored the first point of the night with an ace, but it was all Flathead after that with the Bravettes cruising 25-18, 25-7, 25-8 on Senior Night.

"That was a great effort," Flathead coach Leon Wilcox said.

"I think that was the most consistent we've ever played."

Led by Hannah Sackett, Danika Johnson and Kwyn Johnson at the net, the Eagles never had a chance. Sackett finished with 21 kills, six more than Big Sky had as a team, and Danika Johnson followed with nine kills.

Kwyn Johnson had five of Flathead's eight blocks.

Big Sky totaled just one block.

"Our defense was great, our blocking was on track," Wilcox said.

"Offensively, Hannah and Danika were very difficult to stop."

The victory lifts Flathead to 5-6 in Western AA and 9-9 overall. Big Sky falls to 0-9 and 2-13.

Jaimee Zorn, one of the seniors honored before the game, did not play because of an illness. The starting libero watched from the bench.

Big Sky was also missing a player - its starting setter.

Wilcox was impressed that with a new lineup, his players didn't miss a beat.

"We came at them," he said, "and kept coming at them."

Flathead's other seniors honored were: Mary Allen, Tiffany Habel, Ashley Lunde and Anika Thorderson.

Flathead dominated all the stats. Flathead also led 9-4 in aces, 35-14 in assists and 51-17 in digs.

Bravettes leaders in those areas were Alison Lunde with 32 assists, Allen with 16 digs and Habel with three aces.

The victory gave FHS the season sweep in the series. Flathead was forced to go the distance when the teams met for the first time on Sept. 26 in Missoula, winning 20-25, 19-25, 25-21, 26-24, 15-13.

Flathead will compete in the Missoula Invitational this weekend, then wrap up regular-season action at Glacier on Tuesday.
