MIDWEEK UPDATE Ronan hosts golf tourney

Area high school golfers enjoyed what could be the final rays of sunshine on the course on Thursday, competing against several other school from across northwestern Montana.

Ronan welcomed competition to their home course in the Ronan Invitational, Thursday at Mission Mountain Country Club. Golfers from Polson, Browning, Stevensville, Whitefish, Libby, Flathead, Glacier and Frenchtown enjoyed sunny weather during their 18-holes.

After Ronan Police assisted in a parole related search of 223 Adams St. SW in Ronan, they discovered a number of drug violations in the house, Assistant Police Chief Art Walgren said in a press release today.

BREAKING NEWS Ninepipes Museum closing

NINEPIPES — It is with a "heavy heart" that Bud Jr. and Laurel Cheff have announced the closure of Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana. In a letter dated Dec. 28, 2009 to the members of the museum, Cheff explained the closure as being a fallout of the economic conditions.
