Milton Andrew Buck, 88, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas. He was born on Feb. 14, 1921, in Havre, the son of Wesley and Mary Jane (Gloer) Buck.

Milton joined the Army and served as a medic during the Second World War in the European Theatre.

He met his wife of 63 years, Helen Bulla, through her uncle Russell who he befriended in the war. Milton and Helen were married April 20, 1946, in Decatur, Ill., and settled in Kalispell where they raised their two children.

Milton worked in the sawmill industry for over 43 years in the Flathead Valley. At the time of his death he and Helen were residing in Las Vegas.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters; and numerous relatives.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Buck, of Las Vegas; a daughter, Jane Jimeno, and husband, Gerald, of Libby; a son, Michael Buck, and wife, Kelly, of Seattle; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Cliff Buck, of California; and a sister, Mary Beth, of Polson.

Funeral services for Milton will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at the Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home.
