SANDPOINT — Seniors Zac Linscott and Adam Crossingham each scored goals, and Erik Wehse posted his second shutout of the season to lead Sandpoint to a 2-0 win over Lake City Tuesday night at War Memorial Field.

Sandpoint (6-0-2) head coach Randy Thoreson moved Crossingham up top to better utilize his speed, and the move paid quick dividends as the Bulldogs generated a number of good looks offensively, including a fast break goal in the second half where Crossingham simply beat the defender to a free ball.

“The goal he scored was pretty; best goal I’ve seen this year,” said Thoreson. “He was flying up there. He was the difference.”

Sandpoint hosts Lewiston on Friday.

First half — 1, Spt, Zac Linscott (Jansen Rinck), 4:50. Second half — 2, Spt, Adam Crossingham (Anders Nostdahl), 52:00.

Shots on goal — LC 6, Spt 15.

Saves — LC, Nick Higgs 6; Spt, Erik Wehse 3.
