The Libby High School girls soccer team remained unbeaten with a 4-2 victory at Columbia Falls on Saturday.
The Lady Loggers got two goals from junior Jaime Gilden and one from Anna Valentine in a match that Libby controlled from the start.
The Loggers went up 1-0 just six minutes into the game when Gilden found Valentine for a goal. Gilden scored unassisted in the 27th minute and three minutes later, Libby held a three-goal lead when the ball bounced into Columbia Falls’ net off one of its own players during a corner kick attempt.
In the second half, Columbia Falls scored two goals but the hole was too deep for the home squad. Gilden scored her second goal unassisted in the 70th minute.
Breanna Hopper and Elena Potter scored for the Wildkats. Potter scored late on a corner kick.
The Lady Loggers held a 19-14 advantage in shots on goal and had a 4-3 edge on corner kicks. Audra Poppen came up with nine saves in goal.
