The Montana Highway Patrol responded to a report of a vehicle hitting a moose just east of West Glacier on U.S. 2 Sunday night. A trooper found a badly damaged vehicle, but no one in the area. The North Valley Food Bank was called to pick up the moose carcass.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police arrested a man, 37, for partner assault at a residence on the 700 block of Fifth Avenue WN Sunday evening.

Items were reported stolen from two vehicles on Fourth Avenue East and one was damaged during the theft.

A woman, 25, was arrested for drunk driving after a traffic stop on Wyoming Street and Sunset Drive.

Monday, there was a report of a wallet with $80 and a purse being stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 1000 block of Second Street West.

Items were reported stolen from an Empire Loop residence.

There was a break-in on the 200 block of Eighth Avenue West, with an iPod reported stolen.

A car parked at an Airport Road bar was keyed.

An intoxicated man attempted to get into an Empire Loop apartment to see a woman he was apparently familiar with, but her roommate called police who advised him to stay away.

After two males broke out the front windows of a Trailblazer at Woodland Park Monday afternoon, officers were able to chase down and arrest one of the perpetrators.

There were 66 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies

Flathead County Sheriff's Office got a report of an intoxicated woman in a bridal party at a Grand Drive restaurant in Bigfork hitting another person in the party with a beer bottle and a purse. She was calmed down by the time deputies arrived.

A landowner on Somers Road made a trespassing report Sunday evening after a motorized paraglider landed on his property without permission.

There was a report of a disturbance involving a teenage girl who was trying to get property from a home on Autumn Ridge Drive. She left without the property.

A woman and a juvenile female were cited for shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

There was a report of a domestic dispute involving a man and a hearing-impaired woman at a West Evergreen Drive residence. There were no arrests.

There was a report of a missing 8-year-old child on KM Ranch Road just before dark. The child was located after about 45 minutes, and had apparently been on a stroll in the neighborhood.

Fighting drunk brothers were separated at a Bierney Creek Road residence in Lakeside.

Early Monday, there was a report of a vehicle backing up to the Wal-Mart garden center, with someone throwing items into the car before leaving.

Sheriff's dispatch had 186 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.
