Former Bonners Ferry residents John H. and Larena Holmes Daniel celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 18, 2009, at their home in Sandpoint.

A party was held for the couple, who married Aug. 18, 1944 in Coeur d’ Alene.

Attending the party were their children are Elizabeth Daniel (Jim Deaton), Donna (Larry) Sterling, John (Barbara) Daniel and Nancy (Jerry) Johnson; 12 of their 18 grandchildren; and 18 of their 24 great-grandchildren.
