ARLEE — Warrior junior Cole Rice continued his breakout season on Friday, scampering for three touchdowns just in the first half to lead his team to it’s first victory this season in the 72-18 win over Alberton.

Arlee first scored just minutes into the game and again with just 19.9 seconds left in the half.

That put them up 56-6 at the half.

The Panthers struggled throughout the game to get a strong footing on offense. Arlee, however, had success in the air and on the ground, with several players taking snaps as quarterback. Sophomore Cody Sheridan and junior Dakota Desjarlais had two of the teams interceptions in the first half.

The Warriors were held scoreless in the third, but scored on a safety by tackling Alberton’s quarterback in the endzone. They added two touchdown runs by Rice, who had a total of five touchdowns in the game, to complete the scoring.

Desjarlais scored twice in the game, both on passes from junior quarterback Dylan Moran.

This week, Arlee has an off-week and will return to action next week in Noxon.
