CLARK FORK — Chelsea Macumber, whom her coach calls the best outside hitter in the North Star League, hammered home 10 kills to help lead Clark Fork to a convincing 25-17, 25-19, 25-14 win over Kootenai in league volleyball action at Clark Fork High School.

Freshman Mariah Miller stepped up with her best game of the season, adding seven kills to the attack, many set nicely by Celeste Komanec, who finished with a match high 23 set assists. Shaina Gustafson led the Cats (7-3, 4-1 NSL) with seven digs, Moranda Becker with five aces, and Kandice Daniels came off the bench to add some nice service runs.

Cats head coach Carolyn Speelmon loved getting contributions from a host of players, and also the hustle her team showed defensively.

Clark Fork hosts Coeur d’Alene Charter on Tuesday.
