Bulldog forward Connor Silliker was awarded Northwestern A all-conference honors for his exceptional play on the basketball hard court this season.
The senior led Whitefish in scoring, with nearly 13 points a game, and led the team in rebounds, with more than eight a game. Silliker also tallied 14 blocked shots. He was the only Bulldog selected to the team.
Whitefish forward Gage Vasquez was named to the all-conference second team. The sophomore averaged nearly 12 points and four rebounds a game.
Silliker, along with fellow Bulldog senior Austin Green, traveled recently to Billings to play in the Crown Plaza Classic Invitational Tournament.
Playing for the North A squad alongside players from Columbia Falls, Polson, Plains and Lewistown, the team beat the Western C team before losing to the East A and North AA teams.
"It was a really fun overall expereince," Silliker said. "There were a couple of college scouts there, too."
Teams in the tourney are made up of elite seniors from across the state.
