Dorothy DuPerault passed away March 29, 2010, in Post Falls. She was born May 29, 1917, in Burt, N.D., to Jacob and Hulda (Wutzke) Buttmann.
She was a dietician working in a nursing home. A member of the St. George Catholic Church and the St. George quilters.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Erwin DuPerault of Post Falls; daughters Linda (John) Logan, Doreen Becker, Glenn Walton; daughter-in-law Claudia Ruff; two stepsons, David and Daniel DuPerault; sisters Erna Strecher, Arlene (Eddy) Ang; sister-in-law Rosemary Buttmann; brothers-in-law Don and Ralph DuPerault; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her first two husbands, Carl Ruff and Joseph Madler; son Arlen Ruff; her parents; four brothers and three sisters.
The family would like to thank Hospice of North Idaho for all their care and help through this tough time.
Viewing will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, and from 2-8 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at St. George Catholic Church, 2004 N. Lucas St., Post Falls. Burial will be at Pines Cemetery, 1402 S. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA. With reception to follow at Community of Christ Church, 11515 E. Broadway, Spokane Valley.
