Ephrata

The Ephrata Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a free Teen Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt event for ages 11 to 17. The event starts at 8:30 p.m. at Lions Park on Saturday.

There is an opportunity to hunt for candy and pop and to receive prize eggs.

Participants should bring a flashlight and a bag for candy and wear old shoes. Teens should also have their student identification card ready for proof of age.

For more information, call 509-754-4426.

The Ephrata Rotary is hosting an Easter egg hunt at Lions Park at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The Easter bunny will be on hand to meet children. Come early because the whistler is blown at 11 a.m. sharp to start the hunt.

Moses Lake

The Moses Lake Lions Club is hosting their 13th annual free egg hunt at McCosh Park. The hunt begins with a gunshot start at noon Saturday and lasts about one minute.

“Participants should arrive early because the event goes quickly,” warned Harlan Beagley, Columbia Basin Herald Publisher. “People should also bring their own Easter baskets.”

The hunting areas are divided among five age groups and there is an assisted area for disabled children. About 600 dozen eggs are hidden, there are 150 dozen eggs filled with candy, and some eggs containing special prize tickets.

Volunteers are needed Saturday before the hunt starts to color and decorate eggs. Those interested should arrive at the park around 9 a.m.

Prizes, candy and eggs were donated by Willamette Egg Farms, the Moses Lake Lions Club, the Monroe House and the Columbia Basin Herald.

For more information, call Rebecca Littlefield at 509-750-2206.

Othello

Participants are encouraged to arrive early. Activities include age-divided hunts, prizes, 3,000 eggs hidden throughout the resort and special guests.

Attendees should bring cameras to take pictures with the Easter bunny.

The resort is located at 8198 Highway 262 in Othello.
