Troupe de Wolfe play coming in May

The "Importance of Being Earnest Press Release" will be presented in May by Troupe de Wolfe Productions at Lake City High School.
The play is billed as "a trivial comedy for serious people.
In 1895, London society is bustling with fashion and faade. The fashionable Mr. John Worthing Jeff Phillips has created a notorious and fictitious younger brother named Ernest.
John often pretends to be Ernest when in London in order to woo the beautiful Miss Gwendolen Fairfax (Leah Meyerholtz). Gwendolen's cousin Algernon (Dylan Townsend) discovers the truth behind Ernest's "identity" and decides to play-act the part himself in order to woo John Worthing's pretty ward, Cecily (Maggy Bashaw).
With two Ernest Worthings running around, confusion is bound to occur. As the couples endeavour to discover who they really are, and what they are expected to be, they must rely on Gwendolen's overbearing mother, Lady Bracknell, to tell them the truth and help them to discover the Importance of Being Earnest.
The play is recommended for middle school students and older.
Reservations are required. Tickets are $12 each and include a show, tea and pastries provided by the KEY Club.
The play is 7 p.m. May 6 and 7; and 2 and 7 p.m. May 8.
