Two heavyset men wearing overalls were seen trying to break into dairy trucks near a Trumble Creek Road business around 2:30 a.m. Friday. One man fell during the attempt. Both took off running westbound after failing to gain entry. No damage to company property was reported.

A worried Karrow Avenue resident called deputies after witnessing a group of people packing guns head off into the trees behind a nearby church Thursday evening. Deputies learned it was a game of paintball.

Fast-food employees at a U.S. 2 East restaurant returned a counterfeit bill to the toothless woman who apparently tried to pass it at 6:08 p.m. Thursday.

Deputies were unable to locate the individual responsible for the suspicious shots fired near a U.S. 2 West residence Thursday night.

A man called deputies multiple times around 1 a.m. Friday, alleging his wife was “ragging” on him and that the sheriff’s office wasn’t doing what it should. He had been drinking. He was arrested for disorderly conduct at a West Valley Acres residence.

Deputies located a running vehicle with its lights on in a ditch along Montana 83 around 2 a.m. Friday. No one was around. Deputies secured the vehicle.

After reportedly punching a woman, a man took off, either by skateboard or on foot, from a Conrad Drive residence at 3:47 a.m. Friday. He was last seen sporting a shirt with a picture of a “satanic skull.” The woman refused medical treatment. Around 1 p.m. Friday, the man returned to the residence.

A shivering puppy was apparently left overnight inside a vehicle parked near a business on U.S. 2 East. The vehicle has since left.

Dawn Drive residents were counseled about the cat that has been in a nearby tree for more than a day.

A West Valley Drive resident called deputies over suspicious fingerprints on the home’s window.

People apparently ate three quarters of their meal at a casino on U.S. 2 East, then refused to pay for it around 11 a.m. Friday. According to the caller, this has happened before. Deputies offered advice.

A Hungry Horse resident witnessed a Pit Bull kill a dog Friday morning.

The man throwing Frisbees at ducks in a park near Woodland Park Drive was gone when Kalispell Police arrived Thursday afternoon.

Dispatchers could hear a First Avenue West resident arguing with the man who refused to leave. Officers soon arrived and advised the man to move along. He went to a neighbor’s, where he was reportedly screaming profanity. Officers counseled him and confiscated a yellow bike. After a third complaint from a Main Street business around 11 p.m. Thursday, the 58-year-old man was arrested for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

A woman was arrested for shoplifting at an accessories store at a Kalispell mall at 4:09 p.m. Friday.

A vehicle accidentally backed into a window at a West Idaho restaurant. No injuries were reported.

Officers received 47 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish Police received 26 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls Police are investigating a possible sexual assault of a minor.

Around 2 a.m. Friday, officers arrested a man for driving with a BAC of .02 or more, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop along Twelfth Avenue West and Tenth Street.

Officers received 18 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.
