Jolyn Gersh, a third grader at Mission Elementary, and Jesse Gersh, a fourth grader, participate in the Orange Owl Dance on April 9 during the K-12 grade Mission powwow in the Mission High School gymnasium. The dance is traditionally danced by couples to the beat of a hand drum, but the school has turned it into a competition of who can hold the orange the longest between dance partners.
