To our readers

When entering this new community, I was told that "what you might think is important to the community might not necessarily be important to the community."

That person is correct.

The Lake County Leader is for the community of Lake County and we want to hear from you. Likes, dislikes, comments or questions are important to us as well as notices of events in the area.

There are many ways keep us updated. A simple phone call, e-mail, fax or a quick stop by our office are all ways to drop us hints. There are also a few different places where the community's input is really valuable.

The community calendar is generated by the community and, depending on space, we like to run the events two weeks prior to the actual day of the event.

Another part of our paper that we want to see created by readers is our shooting gallery. Don't get us wrong. The editorial staff enjoys taking photos of our never-ending beautiful surroundings, but we also like to see what people in the community can do as well. Please feel free to submit pictures to us for the gallery.

Obviously, our letters to the editor section is unable to be written by us. This is an area where we can really get the opinions of the community members.

Feedback and input from our readers are valuable parts of what makes our paper a community paper. The editorial staff looks forward to hearing from many of you as we go forward into the warm, and hopefully sunny, days ahead.
