I lost my wife, friend and soul mate to cancer April 6, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Thayer; stepfather Arnold, mother Patricia West, sister Robin Pomarico and brother Eugene Thayer. She is survived by husband Kris at the home, daughter Summer and (Wes) Martin and family of Homestead, Fla., stepdaughter Brandy Procoro Echeverria and stepson Eric, all of Spokane, sister Virginia Swanson and family of McKinleyville, Calif., brother-in-law Joel Pomarico and family of Post Falls, and Kim Swanson of Coeur d’Alene.

Kathy was a homemaker and enjoyed arts and crafts, fishing, the outdoors and animals of all kinds. Thanks to the friends and family who helped her during her battle. Special thanks to doctors and staff of the cancer center and Kootenai Medical Center oncology.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to hospice or cancer charities of choice. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
