Jon 'Painter' Gloden, 62

Jon “Painter” Gloden, 62, of Athol, passed away April 25, 2010, at home surrounded by his family. He was born July 1, 1947, in Hennepin, Minn. After high school graduation, Jon began drag racing; becoming a national record holder.

He lived in Steamboat, Colo., before moving to Athol, where he continued his career as a painter. Jon painted many houses and community buildings throughout Coeur d’Alene, Bayview and the surrounding areas. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting, including even hunting buffalo. Jon was liked by many and will be missed by all. Now he paints rainbows for the Lord in the sky. Jon is survived by his mother, Lorraine; his sisters, Nancy and Lori and his brother, Marty.
