Incumbents retain seats in Bigfork elections

In Bigfork's two local elections Tuesday, incumbents held on to their seats.

Five candidates vied for the two open positions on the Bigfork Rural Fire District Board. Incumbents Zach Anderson with 468 votes and Leland Leivo with 387 votes received the highest totals and will serve in the two three-year positions. Austin Lowe earned 195 votes, Shelly Hocking received 156 votes and Karina Lanier had 129 votes.

For the Bigfork School Board, incumbents Mike Roessmann and Thad Jordt retained their three-year positions with 284 and 281 votes, respectively. Challenger Heather Postlewait received 232 votes. The two returners will be sworn-in during the board meeting tonight, May 5, at 5 p.m.
