Mariners lose out at state

BILLINGS - Baseball season is over for the Mission Valley Mariners.
The Mariners could muster only three hits on Saturday against the Bitterroot Red Sox and were eliminated 8-1 from the State A American Legion Baseball tournament.
Mission Valley trailed 2-1 after six innings, but gave up four runs in the bottom of the seventh.
Tyler Linse, Derrick Rathe and Justin Evans had one hit each for Mission Valley, which also committed four errors. Tim Rausch had the Mariner RBI.
The Mariners wrapped their season at 42-18. Bitterroot advances to play Great Falls at 4:30 p.m. today.
