Marion McLain of Bonners Ferry has collected 500,000 pull tabs off soft drink as of last month.  The pull tabs he has collected help raise money for families to stay at the Ronald McDonald House while their children are hospitalized for long periods of time.

So how many pull tabs does it take?  McLain’s tabs reserve one year, 11 months, three weeks, one day, five hours and 10 minutes, for a family to stay in a Ronald McDonald House.  Ronald McDonald houses are located near major hospitals in major cities around the country.

Pull tabs are delivered to Spokane Recycling Products, Inc., for information, call 509-535-0284.
