Touch (U) Well Massage has moved in with Chiropractor Pam Svec across from the new Safeway.

JoAnn Sutherland is a certified massage therapist specializing in relaxing Swedish massage, deep tissue, pregnancy massage, sports massage, reflexology and Shiatsu.

Sutherland has been a massage therapist for seven years and began her quest in California.

“The reason I pursued massage therapy is  because I wanted to provide the health benefits of stretching that comes with massage and good muscle stretching,” Sutherland said.

Sutherland recently married a man from Bonners Ferry, which brought her her to the area in January 2009.

He received her training at South Bay Massage in Manhattan Beach, Calif.

She interned in California and had her own officethere.

“I had very informative teachers who were chiropractors, and they really gave us students a lot of insight to muscles and how they function and move.”

This is why Sutherland said her massage has many health benefits.  She has worked with chiropractors before and teamed up with local chiropractor Pam Svec.

Svec has been practicing at her office in Bonners Ferry for six years and is glad to have Sutherland with her.

Sutherland can be reached for appointments at 627-2079.
