LANCE, Donald H., 83, of Rathdrum, died July 28, 2010, after a lengthy illness. Born Jan. 7, 1927, in Kellogg. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at the Rose Lake School with a potluck.

SPARKS, Thelma, 93, of Hayden, died Aug. 3, 2010, at Life Care in Post Falls. Born Sept. 12, 1916, in Cherry County, Neb. At her request, no services will be held. English Funeral Home, Post Falls, provided the final arrangements.

THORP, Vicky F., 78, of Coeur d'Alene, died Aug. 1, 2010, following a seven-month battle with lung, pancreas and liver cancer. Born May 6, 1932, in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
