Run, walk, boogie

Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, 431 people showed up to run and walk their hearts out at the Boogie to the Bank race Saturday, July 24.
The runners and walkers hailed from 18 state, one province and the District of Columbia.
For the fourth year in a row, Carl Nystuen of Lakeside came in first, this time running the 5K. He crossed the finish line 14 minutes and 52 seconds after beginning the run.
Jacob Hagen of Spokane, Wash., must have running in his blood, because the not even 1-year-old made it across the finish line with a time of 25:57.7.
Making quick work of the race was Makena Morley of Bigfork was the first woman to cross the 5K finish line with a time of 17:43.3.
Alex Williams, 4, of Columbia Falls was the youngest female 5K competitor. Those little legs carried her across the finish line with a time of 41:46.8.
Elizabeth Gedlaman of Columbia Falls won the 5K walk with a time of 34:13.6.
Mick Diede of Kalispell won the 5K walk with a time of 33:44.4.
The winner of the women's 10K was Lisa Mills of Aurora, Colo., with a time of 39:34.2.
Seth Grossman of Kalispell took first in the men's 10K with a time of 32:12.1.
The winner of the 10K wheelchair division was David Nickelson of Whitefish with a time of 26:16.8.
