Ain't It Good Productions opens its fun musical comedy show, "Adventures of A Comic Book Artist," at 7 p.m. Friday at the Lake City Playhouse.

For the past two weeks, 27 local kids have been working to produce the funny musical comedy where comic books characters come to life.

"Adventures of A Comic Book Artist" brings the comic book genre to life.

"Our beloved comic book characters use their super hero powers to stop the bad guy, played by Jacob Nairn, from stealing money and jewels from the city," according to a press release. "Of course it takes a clever artist, played by Joseph Mataban, to draw their weapon of choice and to create new super hero's who can help capture the evil, conniving villain."

"Adventures of A Comic Book Artist" will be performed at the Lake City Playhouse Aug. 6, 7 p.m., Aug. 7, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Aug. 8, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. This is not a Playhouse production so call Ain't It Good Productions for reservations.

To reserve tickets, call 769-4262. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for kids and seniors.
