Two plead guilty to burglary

Three men have admitted breaking in to Flathead High School and Elrod Elementary School in 2009 and causing nearly $3,000 in damage.
Jonathan Brummett and Jonathan MacNair on Thursday pleaded guilty to two felony charges in Flathead County District Court after a third man made a plea agreement with prosecutors earlier this year.
Colin Timm was sentenced to two years with the Montana Department of Corrections in May after admitting his involvement to Kalispell Police and implicating Brummett and MacNair, according to court documents.
The trio entered the schools Sept. 12 through broken windows, then rummaged through lockers, sprayed fire extinguishers, shattered trophy cases, broke a bathroom mirror and knocked over a vending machine, according to court documents. The total cost of damage was estimated at $2,752, excluding student losses.
Timm initially was identified on surveillance video. Brummett and MacNair pleaded guilty without an agreement with prosecutors. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Oct. 7. Each count carries the possibility of 20 years in prison and a $50,000 fine, but the sentence likely will be lighter.
