Chateau denial upheld by court

Kirk-Hughes Development LLC's final attempts to push through the proposed Chateau de Loire project fell through last week, when the Idaho Supreme Court, in an Aug. 2 decision, denied a petition for rehearing and dismissed a second appeal.

The Supreme Court had already upheld the district court's ruling in June that supported the Kootenai County commissioners' denial of the development proposed for the east side of Lake Coeur d'Alene.
