COEUR d’ALENE — The Coeur d’Alene-based Venomous Vixens take on The Hellgate Roller Girls of Missoula at Skate Plaza Roller Rink tonight in a roller derby bout.

Admission is $10 and doors open at 6:45 p.m. Kids under 5 are free, and students and seniors pay $7.

The bout runs from 7-10 p.m. Skate Plaza is located along U.S. 95 at 5685 N. Pioneer Drive.

The Venomous Vixens are part of the Snake Pit Derby Dames, a skater-owned and operated all-women flat-track roller derby league.

According to the Snake Pit Derby Dames’ website, “Our bouts are fast paced and hugely entertaining. When you come to watch us play, be ready to see some hard hits, gnarly wrecks, and fierce competition. We always offer trackside ‘suicide’ seating at our bouts, so show up early if you want to get close to the action; but enter at your own risk.”
