Betty Jane (Wilson) Young passed away on August 7, 2010 peacefully in her home.

Betty Jane (Wilson) Young passed away on August 7, 2010 peacefully in her home. Betty was born June 22, 1920 to Noah Hayes Wilson and Lillian Mae (Smith) Wilson in Breeze Illinois. The family moved to Wakeeny Kansas where she grew up and graduated High School. After High School, Betty moved to St Louis Missouri where she met and married John Young in 1939. They moved to Toledo Washington in 1940 where they raised their three children; Mary, John, Irene and niece Kaprice. Betty and John moved to George Washington in 1961, living there until John lost his battle with cancer in 1988. Betty then moved to Ephrata Washington and lived there until her death. Betty enjoyed wintering in Apache Junction Arizona and spending time with family and close friends. Throughout her life, Betty was active in a number of Civic Organizations. Betty is survived by her three children; Mary Armbrust, John (Shelly) Young, Irene (Marvin) Scott, 13 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no memorial services. Scharbach's Columbia Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
