EPHTATA - Grant County PUD learned of its clean audit during an exit interview with the state Auditor's Office.

Auditors examined the areas of accountability for public resources and compliance with laws and regulations.

Auditors studied records for 2009.

"Management and staff are to be commended for their ongoing commitment to excellent operational practices," stated PUD commissioner Terry Brewer. "These audits have highlighted the utility's continued refinement of processes and controls."

Brewer attended the exit interview, where auditors talked about new procedures the district started to address the employee credit card transaction reviews.
