Will Davey is a sophomore on the youthful Polson football team.

What is it like playing varsity?

It’s different, it is a lot faster but it’s more fun.

How long have you been playing?

I’ve been playing since fourth grade, so a long time.

Your position?

Cornerback and backup quarterback.

Best part of football?

I definitely think defense is the best. You get to hit people.

How will the team do this year?

I think we’ll fly around and we’ll do good. A bunch of guys are talking about an undefeated season.

What were two-a-days like?

It was better this year. Last year I almost didn’t make it through them.

Are you excited about the start of the season?

I can’t wait until Friday. It’s going to be fun to play Frenchtown, the defending state champions, we’re going to try and knock them around.

You’ll have to excuse me for stating the obvious, I’m assuming everyone in Polson already knows this but Neal Lewing is one heck of an actor. I was first able to see the Port Polson player as Judge Turpin in the production of Sweeney Todd last November.
