Kaiden Howard Spain, 13, of Kalispell, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at home in Kalispell. He was born on Feb. 20, 1997, in Kalispell, son of Howard V. and Amy J. (Samples) Spain. Kaiden attended school at Elrod Elementary and Kalispell Middle School. He loved to golf, hunt, go fishing with his dad, video games, spending every moment with his family and friends, adored all pets, going to Silverwood, listening to music and drawing. He called his mom, Lil Miss Momma, and lifted her off her feet, hugging her so tight. He was his mommy s baby, loved his big sissy so much, shopping with Grandma Debbie, and spent his last month with his cousin Garrett and Grandma Samples, camping, and enjoying go carts, bumper boats, floating the river, hiking Big Mountain and going on the Alpine Slides. He loved playing pool, and always said Hi to everyone, no matter where he was. He enjoyed making money, but was reluctant in spending it! Kaiden and his dad loved taking out the hot rod white truck and doing burnouts. His dreams were to be a helicopter pilot for the military. After that he wanted to move to Alaska and become a diesel mechanic. He wanted to adopt a son and have five dogs. Kaiden is survived by his father and mother, Howard and Amy Spain; sister, Maurissa Spain; grandparents, Fred Bauer and Debbie Spain of Kalispell, and Harold and Sandy Samples of Columbia Falls; uncle, Brian, and aunt, Ashley, and Briley and Mason Samples of Kalispell; uncle, Keith, and aunt, Elaine Garrett, and Levi and McKenna Samples of Republic, Mo.; uncle, Ken, and aunt, Kristina, and Kenisha, Kailey and baby Kaleb Spain of Yakima, Wash.; uncle, Rich Spain, of Kalispell; uncle, Rich, and aunt, Helen Sawyer and Logan Samples, of Kalispell; and uncle, Sam, and Crystal, Christopher and Samantha Samples, of Azie, Texas. Kaiden was preceded in death by great-grandma, Angie Pedersen; grandfather, Howard Vinton Spain; great-grandpa, Harold Samples; great-grandma, Mary Samples; great-grandfather, Melvin, and great-grandma, Dolly Larson; great-grandfather, Richard Street; great-grandmother, Carol Street; great-grandfather, Clark Spain; great-grandmother, Shirlee Spain; and aunt, Cherice Samples. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, at the Christian Center, 255 Summit Ridge Drive, Kalispell. Interment will follow at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery. A potluck reception will follow at Lawrence Park in Kalispell. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for Kaiden s family.
