Live nativity, concerts among Christmas programs

If your church, school or organization is planning a special program such as a concert, play or live nativity for Christmas or the holidays - in addition to regular Christmas services or individual classroom projects - The Press would like to know about it.

Here are someprograms planned:

* Tonight - "A Taffeta Christmas," pre-show entertainment by the CYT Chorale Singers, 6:30 p.m., show at 7:30 p.m., Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center, Post Falls, silent auction and art sale, $12, 457-8950;

* Thursday - "Born for a Purpose" Christmas musical presented by Classical Christian Academy, 7 p.m., free, North Country Chapel, 2289 W. Seltice Way, Post Falls, donations accepted to benefit the CCA music program, 777-4400;

* Friday - 3Cs Coeur d'Aleneers "Silent Night," Christmas concert. 7:30 p.m., Lutheran Church of the Master. Free, donations accepted.

* Sunday - "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" children's program, 10 a.m., Lutheran Church of the Master, 4800 N. Ramsey Road, Coeur d'Alene, 765-1002;

* Sunday - "Follow that Star" children's program, 9:30 a.m., Coeur d'Alene Church of the Nazarene, 4000 N. Fourth St., 667-3543;

* Sunday - Children's Christmas Pageant, 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., Community United Methodist Church, 1470 E. Hanley Ave., Coeur d'Alene, 765-8800, www.cumccda.org

* Dec. 18-19 - "The Gift" drive-through live nativity presented by Genesis Prep Academy, 6-9 p.m., free, Real Life Ministries, 1866 N. Cecil Road, 100 actors and live animals, cars receive a free audio CD, 691-0712, www.genesisprep.org;

* Dec. 19 - Cynthia Marlette piano concert, 4 p.m. followed by "Night of the Father's Love" Christmas musical with the combined choirs of First Presbyterian Church and Community United Methodist Church. (Choirs will be accompanied by Community Orchestra directed by Judith Flieger and Mark Haberman.) child care available, Community United Methodist Church, 1470 E. * Dec. 19 - "Glory in the Highest" adult Christmas program, 9:30 a.m., Coeur d'Alene Church of the Nazarene, 4000 N. Fourth St., 667-3543, (same program also at 6 p.m. at Kellogg Church of the Nazarene, 631 S. Division, Kellogg);

* Dec. 19 - "Follow the Star, Follow the King" cantata, 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m. during worship services, Lutheran Church of the Master, 4800 N. Ramsey Road, Coeur d'Alene, 765-1002;

* Dec. 19 - "Night of the Father's Love" Christmas musical cantata, 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., free, Community United Methodist Church, 1470 E. Hanley Ave., Coeur d'Alene, 765-8800, www.cumccda.org

* Dec. 20 - Ladies of the Lake Harp Ensemble Christmas Concert, 7 p.m., First Baptist Church, 424 Wallace, Coeur d'Alene, free, 664-5791;

* Thursday to Sunday through Dec. 19 - "A Taffeta Christmas," Lake City Playhouse, 1320 E. Garden Ave., shows at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sundays, $19 adults, $17 veterans and students 13 and older, $15 seniors 60 and older, $9 students 12 and younger, 667-1323, www.lakecityplayhouse.org.
