OTHELLO - It was a routine and efficient performance by the Othello Huskies against an outmatched Wapato team last night.

The visiting Wildcats forfeited at four weight classes and only recorded two wins as the Huskies rolled to a 64-9 victory to remain unbeaten in the CWAC.

Three wins were recorded by earning a fall against Wapato wrestlers.

Those came from Eleazar Pruneda at 130-pounds, Joey Gomez at 215-pounds, and Bubba Ruiz at 285-pounds.

Two technical fall victories came via Gilberto Villa at 112-pounds and Joseph Gonzales at 152-pounds.

Also recording wins for Othello (3-0) were Eddie Garza (160-pounds), Stevie Garza (171-pounds), and Amando DeLeon (189-pounds).

"Wapato was sort of down, but our kids came out aggressive," Othello head coach Ruben Martinez said. "There were a couple of impressive wins. One was by Eleazar and Bubba Ruiz, who are both freshmen.  We head to the Sundome this weekend and hope to be wrestling as well as we are right now."
