WARDEN - Not a bad way to start the holidays.

Warden's Lady Cougars recorded their second straight non-league win over a 1A squad, with a 44-29 win over visiting Wahluke on Saturday night.

Warden (2-3) broke over an 18-15 game at halftime with a 13-4 third quarter that gave the Lady Cougars a 12-point lead going into the fourth quarter.

Iris Rodriguez finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds for Warden while Hannah Bisnett chipped in with seven points and 10 rebounds.

"We put a lot of pressure on them and forced 39 turnovers," Warden head coach Todd Kisler said. "We kept our turnovers down and have gotten some confidence heading into the league play."
