Vikes and Vals sweep Bluehawks

The Vikings and Valkyries varsity basketball teams both earned conference wins Tuesday evening in a double-header on their home court against Thompson Falls.

The Bigfork girls (2-0, 4-1) led 28-16 at the half before rolling to a 56-30 victory. Senior Mallery Knoll led the Vals in scoring with 18 and classmate Caitlin Charlebois was behind her with 16.

Bigfork's boys (2-0, 4-2) were ahead 26-20 at halftime and used steady scoring to win 55-36.

Senior Carter Sorensen led all scorers with 19 and fellow senior Christian Ker added 14.
